Who We Are
Real People. Real Land. Real Results.
Woman-owned. Minority-owned. Family-operated.
Real expertise on every job. No crews you’ve never met. No surprises.
From a backyard to a business
built on better.
It started with a backyard that nearly broke us. When I bought our home, I discovered it came with a wetland — and a responsibility I wasn’t ready for. The upkeep was costly, the methods were harsh, and the whole process felt overwhelming. Every contractor wanted a different approach, and every one was different for the land, the budget, or the future we were trying to build.
I spent months researching — looking for something gentler, smarter, and more sustainable. That search led us to a piece of equipment that changed everything — a single-pass forestry mulcher. Chris could run it. I could build a business around it. And I knew that was exactly what I was going to do.
Built by people who care — because we lived the problem first.
Chris knew the land. I knew the business. I saw an opportunity — not just to serve our own property, but to share this approach with landowners across Minnesota and Wisconsin who deserved a better option. That is how Aspen Land Management was born — not from a business school theory, but from a real problem, a real solution, and a real commitment to doing things differently.

Why Aspen
What Sets Our Work Apart
01
Sustainable Land Restoration
Our subsoil mulching process converts vegetation into on-site organic matter, restoring soil health naturally – no hauling, no burning, no disruption to the land’s foundation.
02
Low Surface Disturbance
We work with minimal surface disturbance – reduced hauling, and limited soil disruption where site conditions allow – preserving your land’s long-term integrity and future usability.
03
Clear Written Scope
Every project is reviewed for access, vegetation density, terrain, site conditions, and the intended use of the land before work begins – so there are no surprises.
04
Family Operated
Owner-operated means you work directly with decision-makers who care about every project personally. When you call, you talk to us – not a call center.
